Project417 is a registered charity in Canada with programs in the Toronto area, across Canada, and the US. We engage volunteers and guide them in meaningful programs which meet the homeless where they live - out on the street, in shelters or drop-ins, and food banks.
One of our Homeless Street Outreach programs is called the Sandwich Run, which we have been facilitating for over 15 years. A sandwich run is simply volunteers delivering nutritious bag lunches to homeless street people by walking well travelled routes in the downtown area of Toronto where street people live.
