Meet other people interested in learning about herbs for natural healing and health while learning about the healing herbs themselves.
Each month on the 2nd Wednesday, we focus on one herb and learn all about its healing powers. I provide fresh and dried forms of the herb as well as teas and infusions so that you can see, taste, touch and smell the herb and get to know it very well! You'll get to make a herbal remedy to take home with you and start you on your path to herbal healing and knowledge firsthand! During the summer months, we meet outdoors and do an herb walk through the gardens to see the herbs progression as they grow throughout the season. For Study Group Meetings, bring a healthy dish and join in on good food, good conversation and good fun! We love to meet each other and learn what makes our herbal community so special!
Classes are free but donations are accepted to cover costs of time, handouts and materials used to make the herbal remedies. A typical donation is between $5-10.
Occasionally, workshops are offered teaching about various aspects of herbal healing and remedy making. Class fees vary according to the class. See calendar and individual work shops for details and fees.
All classes are taught by kristine brown, Traditional Community Herbalist and Master Naturalist.
