BikerDown.org - Accident Scene Managment Course

BikerDown.org takes a proactive approach to motorcycle safety and encourages everyone to consider attending our Motorcycle Bystander Assistance Training Class conducted by Accident Scene Management, Inc.

We believe that if you are a road captain, group leader or just an avid rider, the tools learned in this class will be invaluable in the event of an accident.
ASMI believes that the most likely person to be at the scene of a motorcycle crash is another motorcyclist. Our goals are to reduce severity of injury & fatalities at the scene of a crash through proper actions and reactions. We also expect to make the motorcyclist more aware of how they can protect themselves legally and financially.

$75.00 per person - Class is open to ALL motorcycle riders, nurses and EMT’s. Class fee includes all course materials, Certificate of Completion and 100% embroidered patch) Pre-registration is required by clicking on here http://www.cmavf.org/Accident_Registration.html

The intense 1st class will teach you the following:

P Prevent Further injuries—secure the scene, personal precautions, bike lift, when and how to move the injured.

A Assess the Situation - possible injuries, mechanisms of injury

C Contact the EMS - How to give good information that helps get proper help coming

T Treat the Injured with Life Sustaining Care—ABCSS of trauma - Learn Jaw thrust rescue breathing, when and how to remove a helmet, how to address external and internal bleeding and what takes priority.

Great class! Can't wait for the advanced! Learned a lot, hopefully we never actually have to use it! Everyone who rides a motorcycle should seriously think about taking this class.

Laurie, do we need to register or pay for this ahead of time? And how may we pay for the course? Thanks for setting this up.
