Memorial Day Challenge Show and Go - VERY HARD - Bring your climbing legs

Description: Memorial Day Ride.  Monday, May 27.

Start time 7 AM, leave Elevation Cycles at 7:15.

Elevation Cycles to Evergreen via Deer Creek Canyon and High Drive.  Return to the shop by Brook Forest/Black Mountain southwest from Evergreen to Conifer, down Hwy 285 a short distance and back to Deer Creek Canyon.  Leave Elevation at 7:15.  If you would like to join at the start of Deer Creek Canyon at Wadsworth, we will be there approximately 8:00 – please let me know so we meet up.

This is a CHALLENGING ride for experienced cyclists - please be prepared for this.

It is no drop meaning we will re-group at the top of the climbs or anywhere else we spread out. The route is approximately as shown here, but without the loop on the way out on Hwy 285: This ride will be approximately 66 miles, with 6000 feet of climbing, primarily in 3 big climbs – up Deer Creek Canyon (1800 feet), High Drive (1000 feet) and Brook Forest/Black Mtn (2000 feet) – the max elevation is at the top of this climb, around 9000 feet. There will be places to stop in Evergreen and Conifer as needed for water/snacks.

This ride with stops will take 6 to 6 1/2 hours.

Not sure if I have 8k in my legs for tomorrow. Digging out stumps yesterday and today has killed me. If you don't see me at 7:00 don't wait for me.

This ride is so hard, it had two entries on the calendar. I'm doing both so I can double the miles. :-)
