The group setting is private; however, everyone is welcome to join after approval. A must have is a clear picture so members can recognize you at an event.
This is a great way to make some new friends, get some exercise and have some fun. The hiking pace is normally moderate and depending on the venue, we will take time to enjoy the surrounding beauty.
Please keep in mind that his is a hiking not a walking group. This means we will be hiking mountain trails terrain changes. As an example, we can start on a nice smooth trail that will turn into high stepping rocks; stairs to climb, and rough terrain with a lot of rocks and roots. Therefore, you will need to know your endurance level before attending any of the hikes.
All hikes will be ranked, so members will know if the hike will meet their hiking ability. Other hike leaders are welcome to join this group and lead some hikes as well. A few of the favorite places to hike are Hanging Rock, Pilot Mtn, Stone Mtn, Salem Lake, and Piedmont Environmental Center. However, along with hiking, we will have non-hiking activities such as tubing, visit local wineries and bowling to name a few. Please check out our message board or post a message of a hike or outing for the group. Your suggestions are always welcome!
This group has a no show policy. If you RSVP and are a no show to 3 events, you will be removed from the group.
New members must be approved by the Organizer

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
