What we’re about
Hiking Just for Fun is a Meetup that creates opportunities for people to experience the easy local hikes of Fredericksburg, VA and the more challenging hikes of the Shenandoah National Park. All physical types are welcome, be sure to read the description in full for each meetup, know your experience level, start with the easier hikes and work your way up to the challenging hikes that are described as “strenuous”. The intent is to schedule meet ups a week out from the date of the hike. This way we can monitor weather forecast and see if the coming weekend looks great for a hike. If you are interested in scheduling a hiking meetup, send a private message to Patty K and you'll be made an “Event Organizer.” Otherwise, feel free to suggest meetups on the discussion board, thank you.
