Mendenhall Peak. Join us for training hike #1 of the 2015 Seven SoCal Summits training program, a 12-mile round trip hike with 2000 feet of gain to Mendenhall Peak (4,636) in the San Gabriel Mountains. This is the first hike of a series that will take you to seven Southern California summits. Each hike builds on the previous hikes going further, higher, and steeper. NEW MEETING PLACE:
We will be carpooling from Hansen Dam. The trailhead can only accommodate a few cars. From 210 west in Sunland exit on Foothill make a left onto Foothill go under the 210. It's the first parking lot on the left with the boulders. We will carpool from here 7.5 miles to trailhead. You do not need adventure pass to park at carpool point
Adventure Pass required at trailhead.
