This group is an offshoot of the Hip Mamas St. Louis group (http://www.meetup.com/Hip-Mamas-St-Louis/). For those who are not members of Hip Mamas, that group was formed to help progressive women with children find each other and have fun with the kids. Some of us from Hip Mamas decided we'd also like to have fun without the kids-- at a book club-- and Hip Mamas Book Club was born!

If I don't already know you from the Hip Mamas St. Louis group, please tell me something about yourself (kids names and ages, where you live, other interests, etc) when you join.

Our bookclub will meet once a month for cocktails and some snacks, new friends and a good book-- nothing too formal!

Venue will rotate between our houses, and the next host will choose the book, so if you are interested in hosting, please come with a book in mind (of course you can add that in later if you need to)!

This is also a spot for other book-related discussion (recommendations, thoughts) between meetups on the discussion board.
