This group was started to provide a network of people who go out and make live entertainment HAPPEN...whether they perform or watch and listen! This is the brain child of Piper who organizes an open mic around Hoboken, NJ. The purpose of the group is to create a network of people who get notified of open mics around town and who can network with one another if need be when getting ready to play at open mics around town. Piper, a resident of Hoboken, NJ for around 5 years has just started to host an open mic at the Gaslight Bar and Nightclub in Hoboken. Her mission, as a singer and host is to host a talent show with multiple artists (some with a name, some not.) Overall, wherever Piper holds her open mic will be a place where all artists can go to perform...whether it is a someone who plays open mics all the time, or a graphic artist who never sings or reads their poetry in public (but has finally decided to do it to stop their nagging family and friends,) or a professional artist who is bored one night and wants a place to play.
Piper was a tenured public school teacher in New York City and a former professional child and adolescent performer. Piper did a Broadway show and was written in the New York Post as the "youngest caberet performer to date."
Welcome to the beginning of something extremely close to my heart... music and providing an audience for other artists!
