This meetup is for anyone in the Milwaukee area who has, or is interested in building, any kind of CNC machine at home (people who do CNC for a living are welcome to join, but I'd like to keep the emphasis on hardware that an individual could afford to buy or build). The cost of building these machines has come down dramatically in the last few years.
There's plenty of CNC informaion on the net, but I'd like to meet locals who are interested in showing off their work, working together on projects, maybe even renting some shared workspace. I'd also like to hear from local schools that have CNC equipment available to students.
Beyond that, it will depend on who shows up, so let me know what you're interested in. I haven't scheduled a meeting yet, but I'll be at BarcampMilwaukee on Oct 3&4, so if you're there, say Hi!
I have also a wiki at http://bucketworkscnc.pbworks.com/
Be sure to check out the "useful links" page
(Anyone can read the wiki, but if you want to edit it, you have to create an account at pbworks.com and then request access.)
