Hiking w/ H.A.T.s along Cypress Creek-Donald R. Collins Park & Eastern Trails

This event was initially set up by Houston Area Trails and More (https://www.meetup.com/Houston-Area-Trails-More/) - a local hiking group. I received permission to cross post this event for HAD members. Please note that this is an on-leash event. Also, this is a large group of hikers and HATs gets lots of RSVPs - your dog should be well behaved and comfortable around a large group of people.

The Hike: We will walk some trails at Meyer Park then we explore the trails to the east of Donald Collins Parks. On the route trail map, CLICK HERE (http://files.meetup.com/1731871/HATs_46_2013_Hike_Maps.pdf), we will first do the blue arrow-hash tracks, followed by the red, and finally the yellow.

*Note For HAD Members: I haven't been on these trails before, so I am not sure if there are water stations. The hiking group is recommending that everyone carry water (they prefer camel back water packs). Don't forget to bring water for your dog too! And if you don't want to go on the whole 9-10 mile hike, the trails overlap quite a bit, so cutting out early shouldn't be a problem.

Gathering Place: We'll be parking and gathering at the innermost parking lot inside of Donald R. Collins Park. The group should be visible at the lot or somewhere in the shade.
