Hadoop, HBase and Spark by John Leach

The talk will be around building a database management system on top of Hadoop, HBase and Spark. It will center on the unique challenges writing both a real-time and batch system. The talk will be given by John Leach, whom we know from his previous presentation as a luminary in the Spark and Hadoop spaces, as well organizer for the Saint Louis Hadoop Users Group and the CTO of Splice Machine.

Parking

Upon arrival, enter the parking garage attached to the building (you can enter off of Guilford Ct., Griscom Ln. or you can turn in from Post Oak itself). Please pull a ticket and park in visitor parking (level 1 or 2). You can validate your parking when you reach the 14th floor Slalom office. Be sure to bring your parking ticket with you into the office.
