"HSM's Second Anniversary" at Club Tropicana! (Friday, Dec. 30th)

Let's get together before we say goodbye to 2011 and have some fun at Club Tropicana on Friday December 30th! That night will also mark the second anniversary of the founding of the Houston Salsa Meetup group!

In many years, including 2011, "The Houston Press" has named Club Tropicana to be the best Latin club in Houston. The nightclub is tucked away in a small strip center located at the intersection of Richmond and Fondren, and features live music by the band "Mi Rumba" on Friday nights. General admission that night is $10 -- but FREE for ladies until 11:00pm! The Organizers of Houston Salsa Meetup will plan to arrive by 10:00pm, and we will have a couple of tables reserved for our group. Be sure to look for our red, white, and black HSM sign. (We also encourage you to order your drinks from whichever waiter/waitress is assigned to our tables.)

There is a complimentary basic Salsa lesson at 9:00pm, and then the social dancing will start at 10:00pm. You will hear a variety of Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. P.S. -- It is preferable to valet park (which may run about $7), because the parking in the nearby streets or shopping areas might be limited. The tow trucks in the area can be aggressive, so please pay attention to "No Parking" signs in the parking lots of nearby businesses and along the streets.
