New Year...New Salsa Social! (Sat., Jan. 21st)

Mark your calendars for the first Strictly Street Salsa Studio Social of 2012! This fun party will take place on Saturday, January 21st. (The typical "Second Saturday" monthly social was rescheduled to avoid conflicting with the 2012 Houston Salsa Congress).

The party starts at 9pm and features complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cool beverages all night (and you can BYOB if you want). There will be a complimentary Salsa lesson taught by a professional instructor from 9:00pm to 9:30pm for those of you who want to learn the basics of Salsa and Merengue, or just get warmed up. Then the floor opens for social dancing from 9:30pm until 2:00am. There will be a very brief break around 11:15pm to give away door prizes, including gift certificates for dance workshops and/or Salsa group classes and special events. The party attire is whatever you feel comfortable doing a lot of Salsa dancing in!

General admission is $10, or just $7 for students currently enrolled in one of Strictly Street Salsa's group classes. As a bonus, members of Houston Salsa Meetup who RSVP on this website by midnight on Friday January 20th, will also get the discounted admission price of $7 per person. If you have other friends who would be interested in attending, then encourage them to register for our Meetup group and RSVP before the deadline so that they can get the discounted price also!

There is plenty of free parking....and all ages are welcome!

If you have never been to Sirrom Studio (5570 Weslayan, Houston, TX 77005), it is located in a shopping strip at the intersection of Weslayan & Bissonnet. Look for a large open corridor between the Walgreens and the Randall's Flagship store. Sirrom Studio is at the end of that large corridor. The parking lot is very well lit at night, and you can park anywhere within it.
