AltspaceVR Will Demo Their Shared VR Collaboration Space on Vive + DK2 + GearVR

Details
Okay, so this guest presentation is really 3 VR events in one:
• AltspaceVR will be demoing their VR collaboration software -- with attendees sharing a virtual VR space and learning about the potential of Social VR!
• "Cymatic" Bruce Wooden and Andrew Carolan will be presenting!
• And they'll be bringing an HTC Vive to demo on! (along with DK2 and GearVR demo stations)
• Also, they're bringing pizza! Yes, really!
So, what is Altspace VR?
Well, here's their pitch:
"Share a room and the web with anyone in the world! Attend or create events, share web content with others in real time, browse the web, and play web powered 3D apps. AltspaceVR is a shared VR experience - a communication platform focused on natural communication, intuitive UI, and real-time sharing of web content. Users in AltspaceVR can watch Netflix or YouTube, play tabletop games, or give a presentation - together and entirely inside of VR. Developers can use the AltspaceVR SDK to easily build VR apps and experiences. AltspaceVR has raised $15.5M in funding from investors including Tencent and Google Ventures."

And who is Bruce Wooden?
Bruce is known in VR circles as Cymatic Bruce (http://cymaticbruce.com/), an active industry evangelist since 2013. He has participated in more than 700 VR experiences and accrued millions of views on video and live-streamed content. Bruce co-founded Silicon Valley Virtual Reality (SVVR (http://svvr.com/)) in May 2013, which has grown to 3,000 members and hosts an annual conference.
Bruce is Head of Developer Relations at AltspaceVR, and he'll be giving an overview of some of the newest features of AltspaceVR along with a live coding demonstration of the AltspaceVR SDK (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5H735GHbMI). The AltspaceVR SDK enables developers to rapidly build contained VR experiences and apps using the power of three.js and web code.
What else?
Pizza! Multiple DK2 and GearVR demo stations! "You Don't Know Jack VR" Trivia, with Prizes! And as always, plenty of VR news, conversation, and networking.
Hope to see you there!
