For something different and not so ordinary (ie greenery background or a park background) I really love Downtown the Warehouse district, The bayou behind Spaghetti Warehouse, Anywhere on Washington Ave, and my number one favorite bar none, Vintage Park off Louetta and 249. It has a very Tuscan feel to it the big doors some store front has, the alley ways, the fountains, the brick roads, it's awesome. Or if you can do a toy store I had a great photographer do my bridal shoot at Toy r Us and we went where the barbies were and it was an awesome picture.
Here's a sample of Vintage Park

and they're on the lookout for things like tripods and lightstands.
Nevermind that there are plenty of amateur photographers who use the
same equipment. (and would most likely be asked to leave as well)
The big question is, if they see you setting up with a bride in a
wedding gown will it fly. ?I'm guessing no.
Again, as it was explained to me, the justification for this is that
they would like visitors to enjoy the peaceful beauty of a Japanese
style garden. Photographers conducting bridal shoots sorta ruins the mood.
If you were to try and then get the boot there are plenty of other
scenic locations in Herman park.
