How did you become interested in Evolutionary Biology?

From early studies in Genetics, I've always been interested in how humans can be so different - how did our adaptations to our environment change us and what does that change mean for us today, living here? I took courses in California recently and loved being part of a larger community with similiar interests.

What areas of Evolutionary Biology do you focus on?

I focus on human population movements / genetics / and anthropological aspects of HEB - specifically understanding better how modern populations have been shaped. I would like to see how understanding the small differences in our DNA might help solve some of the challenges/diseases that afflict millions of people today.

As a long-time student of biology, I began to focus on human evolutionary biology about 4 years ago. I'm focused on the 'journey of man' aspect of HEB - how man left Africa and populated the rest of the world
