Welcome to Humanists of London & Essex

Meet other local Humanists, people who believe in the basic goodness of the human spirit without supernaturalism. This group was in existence for 45 years before we started the website. Some of the members who come to the meetings regularly are not online; that is why the number of members appears to be smaller than the numbers at the meetings. We do all exist - come along and see for yourself.

We are here for the people of Romford, Hornchurch, Upminster, Rainham, Harold Wood, Harold Hill, Harold Park, Noak Hill, Gidea Park, Emerson Park, Cranham, Collier Row, Elm Park and all places in Havering. We are also the nearest Humanist group for people in neighbouring boroughs - Redbridge (Aldborough Hatch, Aldersbrook, Barkingside, Clayhall, Cranbrook, Fairlop, Fullwell Cross, Gants Hill, Goodmayes, Hainault, Ilford, Little Heath, Loxford, Newbury Park, Seven Kings, Snaresbrook, South Woodford, Wanstead, Woodford, Woodford Bridge, Woodford Green), Barking & Dagenham (including Becontree, Becontree Heath, Chadwell Heath, Creekmouth, Rush Green) and Brentwood. All are welcome - all you need is an open mind.
