Welcome!

Humble Pie is a diverse group of folks who are interested in discussing, exploring and learning about spirituality. Pagans, Buddists, Jews, Muslims, Christians, spiritual-but-not-religious folks and anyone else are welcome. The common factor will be that we are all aware of how power is often abused in spiritual circles are are committed to ending this in ourselves. In short, you should be humble, and yes, we will eat pie.

I want to clarify for my pagan friends; I mean that this will NOT be a group where we aim to expand our worldly power, learn to levitate or brag about who we have channeled.

What we will do is discuss spirituality, learn about different points of view, explore how we bring our spiritual lives into the larger world, pray/meditate with each other and enjoy each others company.

I am not a guru or a would-be spiritual leader. Spirituality is important to me, but I haven't found people to share this part of my life with. So, I thought, why not create a circle of companions with whom I can spend time? This is what I hope to do here.

There is a $5 charge to join us. I don't intend to make any money from this group. Fees will go toward paying for this meetup entry, other admin stuff and of course, paying for the pie.
