Underground Supper Meeting #2 - Summer lamb

I will be BBQing a 145 lb lamb on a homemade cinder block spit.

Also I'll be grilling offal treats!

Please only RSVP for if you have previously attended a Meetup that I have hosted and can contribute hunted, fished, grown, foraged, fermented, or preserved ingredients; or are a trained chef.

Or email me or add a comment if you know of someone who is a chef.  Offal experience a plus.

Please state your contribution in your RSVP!!  All types of meat, fish, vegetables, etc. are welcome.

You will be placed on a wait list until I can personally confirm with you.

All ingredients should be "local," with probably a range of[masked] miles.

Locations will be announced to confirmed attendees only, however, a general location will be announced so you have a good idea of about where you're going.

There will be a small monetary contribution to attend this supper meetings to cover the cost of the lamb.

Wine will be figured out on a per event basis. Non-drinkers will not have to pay for any wine.

Waiver: In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in this Meetup Activity, hereinafter called "Activity", I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Meetup organizers, volunteers, teachers, guides, or Meetup members from liability from any and all claims resulting in personal injury, accidents or illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in Activity.

Assumption of Risks: Participation in Activity carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary from one activity to another, but the risks range from 1) minor injuries such as cuts, scratches, bruises, sprains, bites, burns and food borne illnesses to 2) major injuries such as cuts, bites, eye injury or loss of sight, joint or back injuries, heart attacks, concussions, burns and food borne illnesses to 3) catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death.

I have read the previous paragraphs and I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in Activity I hereby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks.

Indemnification and Hold Harmless: I also agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD the Meetup organizers, volunteers, teachers, guides, and Meetup members HARMLESS from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney’s fees brought as a result of my involvement in Activity and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.

Severability: I further expressly agree that the foregoing waiver and assumption of risks agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of California and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

Acknowledgment of Understanding: I have read this waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I agreeing freely and voluntarily, and intend by RSVPing "Yes" to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.

    In addition to BBQ lamb, I made Grilled Hearts with Arugula and Moroccan Liver & Kidney Kebabs with Lemon & Herb Oil. Diane made terrific gazpacho, Sue made delicious deviled eggs from her home raised chickens, farmer Mark brought venison sausage; there was also BBQ pork ribs, beef brisket, and lots of other great side dishes - entertainment included a dunk tank and a restored steam engine
