Real-Time Data Processing using ZooKeeper, Kafka, and Storm

Abstract: This presentation provides an introduction to real-time data processing using ZooKeeper, Kafka, and Storm. The goal is to provide information on the basic concepts of these technologies to beginners.

Speaker Bio: Ingrid Allen has over 15 years of experience in software and systems engineering. She is addicted to learning new things. Her first experience on a Big Data project occurred in 2013 when tasked with architecting a solution to integrate data into a cloud computing environment for both batch and real-time processing. Currently, she is working on a project that is uses Mesos, Hadoop, and many other cool technologies to create a robust environment for collecting and analyzing information. When not working, Ingrid is trying to keep up with the every evolving world of technology and her twin eight-year-old daughters.
