Working with Humongous Music Database - Prasoon Kumar (MongoDB)

MusicBrainz ( http://musicbrainz.org/ ) is a community-maintained open source encyclopedia of music information. It contains information about 15 million songs with their meta-data. I will describe how to load this huge dataset into MongoDB covering:

1. Document-oriented database introduction

2. Overview of MongoDB

3. Schema design and import techniques for MongoDB

4. Full text index (manual on MongoDB docs) creation

5. Time permitting, auto-complete web front-end in Python utilizing MongoDB's full text search.
