Bicyclone - 3 (The Eco-friendly Cycle Ride)

Hyderabad Bicycling Club (HBC) in tie-up with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) presents a 22 KM long eco-friendly cycling ride viz., Bicyclone III on the occasion of the World Earth Hour day on 29th March, 2014 for the noble cause of “Protecting our Planet”.

It has now become a tradition to observe black out on World Earth Hour day by switching off all the lights for an hour in the evening on that day across the World. This year, additionally there would be an Eco Friendly Cycle Ride being brought to you jointly by HBC and WWF on the occasion of the World Earth Hour Day.

The Route

For the convenience of the less experienced riders, we have decided to have two variations in the Bicyclone Ride on 29th March as follows:

Route 1

The first one covering a distance of about 10 kms would be from Gachibowli Bike Station - Mindspace Raheja Junction – Lemon Tree Hotel - HSBC - CII GBC - Kothaguda Junction - Gachibowli Junction - Gachibowli Bike Station.

Route 2

The second ride covering a distance of about 20 kms would be from Gachibowli Bike Station – Mindspace Raheja Junction - Lemon Tree Hotel - Hitech City junction - Malaysian Township Junction - Hitech City junction - Mini Charminar - Hitex gate - Mini Charminar – Kothaguda Junction – Gachibowli Junction – Gachibowli Bike Station.

Both the above rides are fully supported with enroute water & cookies stations, support vehicles and ambulances. There would be route signage everywhere along with volunteers at intersections.

Registration Fee: Rs. 200/- (Participents contribution of Rs. 200/- each goes towards the "World Wildlife Fund")

First 300 Registrants will get a "Earth Hour" T-shirt, Bag and Apollo first aid kit

Registration starts at: 5AM

Flag off: 6AM

Cycle can be provided on prior request with a nominal cost of Rs. 50/- on first come first serve basis by depositing an original identity proof (Driving License / Pan card / Aadhaar).
