Ram,I have been to a mountain ride in Himachal with YHAI back in summer of 2009. That ride was from Aut to Jalori pass and back. It was a beautiful ride that goes through the rural ares of Kullu district - something that the honeymooners never see :)The ride was relaxed and there's no reason an amateur cannot do it. In fact, there were many in our group who were have not ridden since their school/college days. YHAI camps were basic but took care of the basic staying needs. We didnt ride a lot each and had plenty of time to explore the local areas of the camp. Food at the camp was healthy, tasty, homely and vegetarian. Smoking and drinking will not be allowed on the trip. One of my friends did an all women's Manali-Leh ride with YHAI a couple of years ago. She was also a beginner rider. I can get some more details from her and post here. This message was sent by Animesh ([address removed]) from Hyderabad Bicycling Club.
