I'm far off in Jacksonville, Florida this week for work but thinking of all of you as I start my typical work week.  While away, I have been receiving announcements about events, classes and just fun stuff being added to the calendar for this group.  That makes me feel great, it means that this group has grown beyond just one person posting listings of dance classes, to individuals saying, "Hey let's do this."

The response to my tongue and cheek request for help with my math problem was quite funny.  I have a feeling that I am going to be getting teased about that one for quite some time.  But new people came out to dance, new people accepted the challenge, and the nights that I danced last weekend the numbers were pretty evenly matched.

Thank you to those of you that emailed me.  Thank you to the guys that made a point of coming up to me and asking, "Hey Ann, is there anyone here tonight that has not had a chance to dance."  Thank you to the male dancing friend (and a female group member) that reminded me--ladies you do have a choice, if you want to dance, be brave and ask the guy.  They are totally correct.  You can sit there, and wait for that knight in shining armor to ride up on the horse and make that deep bow, take your hand and ask you to dance.

....or, you can say, "Hi there, would you like to dance?'

It's all about the math you know?  The more times you ask, the more times you dance. (See multiplication!)

Have a great dancing week, I'll be home to dance in Dallas this weekend.  It's also sandwich making Saturday.  If you want to join me on Saturday in Deep Ellum for this fun non-dancing project to give back please sign up, or send me an email.
