Networking Event to Support Systers(r), an initiative of ABIThank you for your interest! More details are coming! Stay Tuned! -Le Osburn, Coordinator
This group focuses on bringing together women (diversity inclusive, LGBT), who are technology professionals who seek to connect, learn, grow, and share their talents with the greater Madison, Wisconsin regional community. Frequently, I hear from educators about the lack of women enrolling into Computer Science, Science, or technical fields. This group will assist educators, trainers, business professionals connect with role models, mentors, current women practitioners of technology, widely interpreted to include new media, internet, wireless and telecommunications, cloud technologies, traditional programming languages, business and systems analysis, program and project management, and the sales, marketing and implementation of those technologies. You are invited to join this group if: 1) You are already involved with a group or community so strategically aligned in its mission (Anita Borg Institute, Association for Women in Computing, Institute for Women in Trades, Technology & Science (IWITTS), Women in Technology International, Association for Women in Technology, or another group with a common mission.) 2) You have a passion for sharing your talents with your peers, students, girls, and future technologists. 3) You are seeking to find ways to incorporate new skills at a fraction of the cost (often training sessions are less, the more people enroll, and/or we will be having "skills swap" sessions to share with each other). If you have a question about how you might follow us, or otherwise get involved in supportive venture (e.g., strategic partners, to include local corporations, etc.) please contact the creator, Le Osburn). Additionally, if you are a business, organization, company or individual (gender inclusive), and you wish to share your knowledge as a speaker o trainer to this group, please contact Le Osburn.
