Welcome! If you're interested in reading and discussing classic literature written by dead people (with an occasional still-living contender for a place in the canon), please join. We'll be reading everyone from Thomas Hardy to Mark Twain and discussing why these authors continue to be so popular years after their death. By looking not only at the text, but also film and stage adaptations and the following that has grown up around it, we will come away with a richer understanding of the work-- and have fun along the way!
