IGDA San Francisco Event: The Origins of Dynamighty and CounterSpy

Dear San Francisco IGDA Members,

We are thrilled to announce that we will be presenting David Nottingham from Dynamighty on March 5th at 7pm at Autodesk.

David will talk about setting up Dynamighty and how the principles of the studio are reflected in the games they wish to make.

Dynamighty's first title, CounterSpy, is a side-scrolling action espionage game set during the Cold War. It is being developed in partnership with Sony and will launch this year on PlayStation 3, PS Vita, iOS & Android.

The talk will focus on those critical early stages of growth for Dynamighty: how the journey began after LucasArts, and how the studio went through a long period of concept prototyping and pitching until finding a supportive partner in Sony.

David will discuss the challenges, fears and anxieties that any new studio faces creating original work in such a high quality, competitive field, and will demo CounterSpy to the audience.

David Nottingham is a co-founder of Dynamighty and the Creative Director for CounterSpy.
