Google Assistant Going Global
Details
This event is closed to new RSVPs. No walk-ins will be admitted
The Google Assistant helps you complete tasks in your everyday life, bringing together devices and services to create a rich and assistive experience. Having natural voice as part of the user interaction introduced new layers of complexity that required collaboration and ingenuity to scale the product globally.
In this talk, the speakers will tell the story of how several cross-functional teams with an international focus joined forces to build a conversational experience for our global users.
About the speakers:
Andrea Siciliano works with the Assistant team, where focuses on scaling operations and processes to support Assistant’s growth. He joined Google in 2010 in the Localization team, where he contributed to building Google’s continuous localization pipeline and set up a Business Analytics unit for Localization. He holds a MBA from UC Berkeley and Masters in EECS from University of Illinois at Chicago and Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
Eugene Chow leads the internationalization program management team for the Assistant and has supported launches for 9 additional languages across more than 50 countries. He joined Google in 2011 to launch Google Offers before moving to help scale various shopping-related platforms. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and an MS from Stanford University.
