So I took Fred's advice and avoided the Gardiner to get to the meeting. I left Rockwood at 4:25 and I took the 401 across Toronto to Allen Road. Got off at Lawrence and head east to Avenue Road. It was now 7:00pm. I guessed it would take another 20-30 minutes to get to there and would put me half way through the meeting. I turned back. It's now past 9:00pm and I finally made it home. I just spent 4-1/2 hours and got nothing for it. Will there be slides or a summary about the presentation? Thanks for letting me vent!!!

Mitch - no need to feel terrible. It wasn't your fault. Fred's advice as well as others have warned about using the Gardiner for the next 2 years. I take full responsibility for my decision. It was more of a rant about how Toronto traffic has deteriorated over the years. That's life!!

Sounds interesting; I work in Markham; any way meetups can start later in the evening, say 7:30 ~ I know I'm new, but I thought an informal hangout from 7-730 preceding the meeting - just saying - I'd hate missing such an interesting topic :)

Unfortunately, we have to be out of the building by 9:00 pm, so starting the meeting at 7:30 wouldn't allow much time for content.
