HDR, macro and Light Painting at Carrie Furnace.

If you are combining this workshop with the W.A. Young the day before let us know as the combined two workshops are $300 rather than $325 (we can send you a second paypal invoice or refund you $25).

This is an unique opportunity to have access to an abandoned location, legally, for HDR, blue hour light, and light painting. We will be there for regular light, sunset, the blue hour and some light painting.

As always we will have a small group size to maximize your photo opportunities.

As always, you must sign sign a liability waiver for this photo tour. Please note that all of our workshops require the participants sign a liability waiver. Download it here; then print, read and sign it. (http://files.meetup.com/1777223/Acknowledgment%20and%20Assumption%20of%20Risk%2C%20Liability%20Release%20and%20Arb.pdf) Some venues may also require a location liability waiver.

From Wikipedia:

Carrie Furnace is a derelict former blast furnace located along the Monongahela River in the Pittsburgh area industrial town of Rankin, Pennsylvania. It had formed a part of the Homestead Steel Works. The Carrie Furnaces were built in 1884 and they operated until 1982. During its peak, the site produced 1000 to 1250 tons of iron per day. All that is left of the site are furnaces #6 and #7, which operated from 1907 - 1978,along with the hot metal bridge.
