This workshop is all about the skills and techniques you can us to create better photos off the people in your life. We will cover the camera control options and creative tools you have to photograph people. This is a good course for beginners or more experienced photographers who want to get into making better portraits.

For this workshop the type of camera you have makes no difference. The concepts and skills we will be reviewing apply equally to POINT & SHOOT and DIGITAL SLR cameras. I will you introduce you to the basic camera controls and menus for shooting creative digital photography of people and portraits.
This class is open to adult digital photographers with little or no photo experience. We will meet for 2.5 hours to discuss photo techniques and to practice (hands-on) new skills. I will provide a class handout that includes the class notes and some suggested practice exercises you can do on your own.
Please bring the following:
- Your DIGITAL CAMERA
- The CAMERA OWNER MANUAL (Important!)
- Charged BATTERIES and MEMORY CARDS
- NOTEBOOK and PEN
- ENTHUSIASM for learning photography!
