Monologue-apalooza (Write/Perform & Sing While Ya Wait)

Please join me and my co-host Lori for our first ever Monologue-apalooza - our new creative event where writers, actors and an ever-receptive audience join together as new monologues are written and performed in the same night.

WRITERS get your thinking cap on and get ready to write a monologue in just thirty minutes. Come in, meet everyone and starting at 7:45pm you will have 3 potential themes in hand (that you will pull out of a hat), plus another mystery element that you will include in your hand written entry.

Beyond that, it is up to you - will it be dramatic, a comedy piece or something much more.

ACTORS starting at 8:15pm you will be given a random freshly written monologue that you will perform - most will be in the 2-3 minute range and you will have a few minutes to review (but no worries, you will have the pages with you).

SINGERS while the monologues are being written and before the performances begin, there will be karaoke avail for those brave enough to take a crack at the mic (feel free to practice beforehand, just find your fav karaoke tune on Youtube). Feel free to bring your own snacks, coffee, tea and water and soft drinks will be on hand - a $2 donation is appreciated but not required.
