have fun at improv workshop with Michael O'Brien

Details

Guest teacher Michael O'Brien will be leading the class. Michael was in the National Theatre of the Deranged and is often heard on West Coast Live as one of the Carl & Carl's in their Tips on Travel sections.

A very relaxed atmosphere where all are welcome. Many of the folks have been coming for over five years. Afterward the fun continues with conversation and cokes (or rum & cokes) at Silver Clouds on Lombard Street. Games and exercises are short form in general although in the second half, you'll see longer scene work or perhaps a montage of scenes based on a topic (a mini “Harold).

This class was started over 30 years ago by Jim Cranna from The Committee workshops – where the first Harold was created. The drop in workshop was taken over by Grace Sargent a few years ago. She alternates teaching with Mick Laugs and with occasional guest teachers.

To find out which room the class is in, check the daily Calendar of Events posted on sandwich boards outside each entrance. Usually in Building C, 2nd Floor (This is not a BATS class – although sometimes people check out BATS shows in the evening).

Payment of $15 at the break to the workshop leader. BTW: MIchael is teaching on the 22nd as well!
