Go to improv workshop at Fort Mason (Ann Feehan guest teacher)

Details

A very relaxed atmosphere where all are welcome. Many of the folks have been coming for over five years. Afterward the fun continues with conversation and cokes (or rum & cokes) at Silver Clouds on Lombard Street. Games and exercises are short form in general although in the second half, you'll see longer scene work or perhaps a montage of scenes based on a topic (a mini “Harold).

This class was started almost 40 years ago by Jim Cranna from The Committee workshops. The drop in workshop was taken over by Grace Sargent a few years ago. She alternates teaching with Mick Laugs and with occasional guest teachers.

To find out which room the class is in, check the daily Calendar of Events posted on sandwich boards outside each entrance. Usually in Building C, 2nd Floor (This is not a BATS class – although sometimes people check out BATS shows in the evening).

Payment of $15 at the break to the workshop leader. This week the guest teacher is Ann Feehan. Ann is the Coordinator of the Laughingstock Program for BATS Improv, teaches improv at Voice One, and has years of experience in improv, acting, casting and theatre.
