  • This location is shown only to members

Tim Hartman will present from his experience working with the Oracle Application Development Framework and JDeveloper IDE.

Brooksource is sponsoring Jordan Lew and Emma Steele for a "JAM Session" (Java Analytics and Metrics). Their presentation will include how saturated (or not) our market is and hot hiring clients.

As always, pizza and beverages will be provided and door prizes will be awarded at the end of the meeting.

Tim Hartman is a PL/SQL and Web developer at Freedom Staffing. For the past year he has been working with the JDeveloper/ADF stack to convert a system in Oracle Forms and Reports 6i to ADF. Previously he had been working as a data analyst on Oracle Databases in data warehousing, near-real-time replication and business analysis. Tim has worked with Oracle products for more than 15 years.

Interesting to see. Seemed much more focused in internal business systems. We need to focus on ease of use for consumers.

Great suggestion. Would you like to do a presentation?

For clarity: "we" meant our company not the meet up group. I'd be happy to do a short one on "lessons learned as a small GWT/Java/WebServices/SAAS company" at some point.

Nice presentation and demo, Tim. We're all Oracle Fusion Middleware on my project now but we're doing mostly services and integration (OSB and SOA suite). I have a need though for some small one off UIs and I am considering using ADF now to put those together.

Thanks, Tim, for the great presentation! Now that I see what JDeveloper can do, I'm going to give it a try for an upcoming project.

Free lunch in a meeting today and now free dinner. I knew I loved programming for a reason.
