This group was created to help video game developers network, and hone their skills as game developers.
We will be meeting primarily in the North West Suburbs of Chicago, starting in Schaumburg but if we have quite a few attending from down town we might move near the blue line so it is easier for them to attend.
We are amateurs and professional web based, console based, and desktop based video game developers living in the area who want to meet with other developers for insight, critiques, and possible collaboration. If you are interested please join us!
Until things get rolling pretty well the format will mainly be open forum, if you would like to show your work please bring a laptop, or make it viewable online and hope and pray that someone else brings a laptop.

This meetup is about prototyping a play mechanic and thinking through the logic behind a complex idea to try to solve issues that can arise when you are programming a game.
At the last meetup we decided to take a stab at figuring out how to create a clue style game that has a more complex system of figuring out who actually committed the crime. This is the problem we will be tackling at this meetup. Read more
