I recognize Cheri Thomas's excellent photo of her brother and best friend. I don't recall the title she used here, but this photo won our "THANKS" category in the monthly Photo Challenge for November 2011. I really like this photo as it tells a wonderful story, one of true, honest, and unselfish THANKS...plus, I think her photographic skills are superb!

The far right photo, top row, of frost on leaves, I think I've seen this one before. Was this one done by one of our members?

Carol, just curious did you note how these photos are hanging? I don't see any rods and so iwas wondering.

They were on cables hanging form a uni-strut of some kind, I think. :-)This may be the way to go in the Attic.

I noticed that some were from a set of wires...but now that I'm looking at this...I don't even see those...unless I can't pick that up in this picture. We'll ask. We have Gary, Joe, and Greg who have all participated in that exhibit (although Greg didn't particpate this go round)... We'll find out. But, I think Phil has a great idea he'd like to implement for our Studio.

The ones on the brick walls are hanging from cables. You can see the tan colored uni-strut above the top photo.

I see those on the brick walls, but how about the dark brown walls? I don't see anything... Could there be something that is attaching them to the walls behind the photos?

I didn't look closely at those. It could be anything simple, like plywood with a burlap fabric covering, then you would never see how many nails you have put into it over time

OK, Thanks Tom! We'll do some asking Thursday evening...

The GPAC uses cables, as Tom described, for all hangings except those along the west wall, which is the wall where you see the brown background ... and the only place you'll see more than one photo "grouped" together. Photos along the west wall are hung using nails. And with the latter, either the holed tabs go directly onto the nails (requiring painstaking leveling for each nail), or wire is strung through the frame tabs then slung over the nails. I'm not sure of the material behind the brown facade, but it's pliable enough to pound nails into.

Tom, the leaves photo was taken by Donna Adams, a longtime photography/visual arts professor at UIndy.
