This is a group for Highly Sensitive People getting to know ourselve in a positive light, and other people like ourselves. The purpose for holding these meetups is to meet others like ourselves, to feel less alone, less isolated, and allow us to get in touch with, and to celebrate our many positive qualities. Our definition of Highly Sensitive Persons, (or HSP's) is based on Elaine Aron's book: The Highly Sensitive Person. The majority of HSP's have spent much of their lives feeling "different" than everyone else, and often feel that the difference in them makes them "less than" or inferior to the people around them. Do people often tell you "You're too sensitive"? In truth, HSPs are normal and make up 15 to 20% of the population, and the nature of their sensitivity gives them extraordinary gifts, needs, self-expression, and challenges. If you've longed to make friends with other gentle souls like yourself, come join us. If you're ready to embrace the idea that you're exactly "the right amount of sensitive", we'd love to meet you. Hosted by Tracy and Bruce Bonczyk, both of whom are HSP's.
