Give Love, Be Love, a class for both beginners and more experienced meditators, has been one of Leo’s most popular courses.

In this special course, we invite you to look at ourselves and at life differently.

We do this with guided mindfulness meditation and loving-kindness practices, two classical forms of meditation that we adapt to the challenges of our contemporary daily lives.

Mindfulness meditation is a practical path to present-moment awareness that helps you nurture a broader experience of the Now. Loving-Kindness meditation practice is consciously paying attention to ourselves and to others in a special way. The practice helps cultivate a compassionate mind and an unconditional open heart towards yourself and others. Together, these practices will provide you powerful tools to nurture a more stress-free, joyful, and healthy life full of kindness and compassion for yourself and others.

Past students have experienced noticeable transformations in their relationships at home and at work, less stress and better sleep, and more positive feelings in their daily lives.

NOW, READY FOR THE METTA GAME?

Set your watch or smart phone timer for 60 seconds.

Take one minute to count all the people that were involved in you being here right now.

Include anyone that had any role at all in you being here right now.

When the timer stops, write down the number of people you counted.

Ready? GO.

Now take another minute and repeat.

Was the number lower or greater?

Now, imagine all of these people standing in the room before you.

They are a part of this moment.

You are here now because of them, interconnected with each of them.

They all want to be happy and peaceful, just like you do.

So I invite you to take a moment to say these kind words to them:

"May you be happy and peaceful."

"May we all be happy and peaceful."

Did you do it?

Did you feel any emotions and thoughts as you were doing it?

GOOD.

Now breathe deeply and, one more time say the kind words:

"May we all be happy and peaceful."

CONGRATULATIONS, you have just played METTA, the game of Loving-Kindness! May YOU be happy and peaceful.

PS: feel free to say this wonderful phrase to anyone that comes across your awareness for the rest of today.
