Have you ever had a great idea but didn't have everything you needed to develop/commercialize it? You are not alone; even the largest companies in the world have this problem!
For most, it is capital that is needed, while others may require specialized skillsets, materials, facilities, industry connections, data, etc...
Innovative X is an organization dedicated to building an environment that connects local ideas and global resources. It is a worldwide community where individuals, companies, organizations and academia collaborate and share resources to develop any novel idea imaginable; an environment where artists, programmers, inventors, makers, investors, movie makers, engineers, scientists, and many others form teams and cross-pollinate to create a synergy not found elsewhere.
At our meetings, there is something for everyone…
Those with ideas: We believe that the most critical resource in the idea development process is honest and direct feedback. So at every meeting we provide opportunities for up to four people/companies to share their ideas. Preparing to communicate an idea in under five minutes encourages participants to clarify their vision, which is very helpful for pitching to investors and recruiting team members. We then break up into small groups and focus all efforts and resources on advancing the ideator towards commercialization.
Service Providers: Do you offer a product or service that facilitates the idea development process? Are you an expert in a particular field? Do you have experience working with service providers? If you fit into any of these categories, these meetings are an opportunity for you to shine by networking, demonstrating your knowledge and assisting other members.
Those who have NO ideas, and are NOT service providers: People often under-estimate their value to others, discounting a lifetime of experience, miscellaneous skills, and their roles as consumers, employees, and trendsetters. Because Innovative X is open to any idea, even obscure resources can be in great demand! Learn from what others are doing, avoid common mistakes, mingle with movers and shakers, and generate new ideas!
So surround yourself with creative and innovative people that are shaping our tomorrow. Attend our meetings and share ideas and experience, seek assistance and guidance in developing your own ideas, make important contacts, build or join teams to collaborate on projects, learn about new and emerging technologies and trends, and gain access to essential resources.
Fees to attend the Central Pennsylvania Chapter are $15 RSVP or $20 at the door. Attendance is free for minors under the age of 18 as well as students and faculty of the Art Institute of York-Pennsylvania. If cost is an issue, please contact the organizer to work out something affordable.
