Intellectual discourse makes me high.
Diverse opinions and the ability to listen and consider other points of view. Debate is fantastic as long as it stays civil and as long as everyone is sincerely interested in expanding his/her horizons versus simply changing other people's minds.
I recently visited Albany, NY, where I met up with old friends from college. After one night of hanging out with them I realized I've lost something in recent years: friends who discuss things other than jobs or relationships. I want that back.
I'm reading a book called "The Pursuit of Unhappiness" which is a fascinating exploration of the true definition of happiness. Good stuff and makes for great conversation (as was demonstrated to me when I met up with my old college friends).
Almost anything. I love sitting around and talking over wine or coffee but I also love physical activity.
I heart Inquisitive Minds. Fo shiz.
The sad thing is I'm kinda getting to like it here...!
Hope to see you at a meetup soon.
great meeting you at Johns barbeque. I hope to see you again and also hope you had a fun time!
Thanks. It was fun meeting you too. I look for to the next event.
Anne, nice meeting you, too! I'm definitely a spontaneous person, so I'm always up for a quick walk, dinner, debate... you name it! :-)
I don't blame you about the all-you-can-eat ice cream. I'm limiting myself to 4 cups..maybe 5..sigh. Hope to see you at the next volunteer event! Check out MACS on June 28th :)
It was very nice meeting you. Thanks for your active participation, the meetup and discussion went really well. I hope to see you again in our future meetups and let me know if you need any help with you tennis (Wimbledon) get together.
