The Freelance/Contracting bug bit me in the late 1970s and I was hooked.

In 1982 I was working for Boeing Electronics for one of my short stints as an employee. Boeing hired a dozen or more Software Contractors to help with the 757/767 workload.

Being inquisitive, I began interviewing the "old dogs", guys who'd been Contracting for years.

I was making $18,000/year and the Contractors ranged from $80,000-$120,000/year and they were doing the same job.

"That ain't right!", is what we'd say about this in the woods.

This began my deep dive into Tech Freelancer Income Optimization.
