18.00 Doors open
18.50 The Human Comparator
19.40 Moldover (US)
Known worldwide as "The Godfather of Controllerism", Moldover is a new breed of music icon. Combining the charisma of a rock star, the mad genius of a basement inventor, and the radical inclusiveness of the DIY internet generation, Moldover is "a paradigm shift in live electronic stage acts" (New City Music). Witness his balls-to-the-wall live show at a club, experience one of his interactive jamboxes at a festival, or pick up and play the "Light-Theremin" packaging of his debut album and understand the new musical archetype that is Moldover.
The Human Comparator
Jon Nensén runs a small independent audio hardware outfit The Human Comparator, supplying kits for and building customised versions of a clone of ARP2600, called TTSH. In this talk / demo session, he will explore the challenges for indie synth-makers working on a small scale, and address many of the practical challenges including finding the right suppliers, scheduling production and working via post and internet. Jon will then conclude by demonstrating the synth and answering any questions.
Henrik Lenberg, former VP of Platform at SoundCloud, is building a simple music creation experience with his new company Auxy. Henrik will demo the unreleased beta version of Auxy and tell us more about his vision for changing music creation.
