What is money and why do we need to reinvent it?
In this interactive session we will investigate the issues around the creation of wealth and why we need to radically redesign America’s economic operating system to better serve all of the people, our local communities and future generations. The discussion will center on our relationship with money, how money is created now and how we might redesign the process for the creation of money so that it better serves all of us and not just the privileged few. Some reading material will be provided before this session so that our discussion can go beyond the basics. (You must be a member of Integral Philly - its free to join - and you can download this from the files section under the "More" button. Look for "Rebooting Americas Economic System...")
The discussion will be led by Frank Nuessle, who teaches in the Organizational Dynamics program at the University of Pennsylvania where he teaches courses in sustainability and the evolution of Capitalism. Frank has an extensive business background in television, publishing and consulting and currently is a principal in the consulting firm, Global Performance Institute, which focuses on systemic and design thinking to solve organizational problems.
Please RSVP if you can attend. We may also try to carry some of the conversation on through the forums for those who can't make it. Let me know if that appeals to you.
We'll collect donations to sustain the group and our hosting organizations, but no one will be turned away for financial reasons. This evening is part of our emerging Integral Speakers Series. I hope you can make it!
With gratitude to all of you and to Meetup for making this possible!
