Presentation 2: Table of Hope by Meike Ziegler
Meike Ziegler designs interventions called Creatuals (creative rituals) for a special occasion around a particular theme or transition. She invites people to participate by contributing their stories, intentions or expressions to load the moment/object with valuable and personal input, to give the participants ownership and engagement in the creative proces. Meike is the ‘creative alchemist’ of these moments. Her intention is to design the transformation of a special occasion into a memorable and meaningful experience, a work of art created in a collective process. It may take the form of a process, a work of art or an installation.

One of the projects she will share with us is the project ‘Table of Hope’. A co-created art piece that become a moving table for dialogue and hope. The first table is created in Cape Town, South Africa where she collected local and handwritten stories that form the base of the art work.

Installation: Submergence by Squidsoup
This first meetup will involve the last chance to experience a very special light and sound installation called Submergence. Submergence transforms physical space into a Mixed Reality environment where virtual and real worlds coincide. The result is an immersive walkthrough experience that uses light to alter our perceptions of space and presence. The experience is akin to walking through an abstract virtual environment, where pixels on a screen are replaced by thousands of points of light floating in space. These points of light create evocations and atmospheres, presence and movement, in physical space.
