Connected Cars, Connected Street Lamps, Industrial IoT

Details

Join us Monday June 16 for the next Internet of Things DC meetup!

At this meetup we'll be hearing about Connected Cars and Commercial/Industrial Internet of Things applications including connected street lamps. The commercial/ industrial side of IoT is huge and is much more invisible to the general population in comparison to consumer devices such as Nest thermostats and Hue light bulbs.

Topics and Speakers:

Zubie (http://www.zubiecar.com/) - Navin Ganeshan, VP Product Management - Zubie is a groundbreaking new platform with the potential to transform virtually every car into a connected car. It combines innovative and useful features for drivers -- location, social sharing, driver scoring, car health, diagnostics -- with an unmatched ability to generate meaningful analytics around driver, trip and car data to foster revenue opportunities in the auto market and related markets such as insurance, resale and maintenance.

Digi International (http://www.digi.com) - Steve Mazur, Director, Government Sales - Digi International makes machine-to-machine communications devices and software for sensor and control applications in the industrial internet. In addition to hardware and communications gear, their Etherios Device Cloud (http://www.etherios.com/) is an IoT platform-as-a-service that allows you to build industrial-strength IoT solutions in a wide array of industry applications including Aerospace, Fleet Management, Heavy Machinery, HVAC, Medical Devices, Oil & Gas Equipment, Tank Monitoring and more.
