Hi!

This group is managed by volunteers from the The British Interplanetary Society (BIS). It's our way of  making our amazing programme of events more public, promoting other space related events and hopefully engaging a range of new people in this exciting area of science.

The British Interplanetary Society is Britain’s leading think tank on space flight development.

At the society, we're devoted to initiating, promoting and disseminating new concepts and technical information about space flight and astronautics through regular meetings, publications and exhibitions. The society is a charity and a lot of stuff is done by volunteers, so we punch well above our weight in influence within the space sector.

Our audiences at events are always diverse, ranging from rocket scientists and physicists to lay space enthusiasts and we really like this. We always try and design our events so that they are informative and enjoyable for both space professionals and the general public.

The BIS was founded in 1933 and is the world’s longest established organisation devoted solely to supporting and promoting the exploration of space and astronautics. We're proud of this heritage, but also proud to be leading science, research, exhibitions and the public understanding of space science, into the future.

We're a friendly bunch and always happy to see new faces! We look forward to meeting you at an event soon.
