IOT NY #36: Commercial IOT Workshop by Intel

Learn about the IoT technology Intel® and IBM® provide to assist you in building commercial IoT solutions.

Join us for a one-day, hands-on workshop where Intel will walk you through the basic architecture of a modern commercial IoT network – from gathering sensor data at the edge, to analytics on a gateway, to the cloud. This workshop will feature the Intel® NUC, Arduino 101, Intel® IoT Developer Kit, and the IBM® Watson IoT Platform featuring Bluemix cloud services.

Each attendee will get to keep an Intel® Commercial Kit used at the Workshop, a $500 value. This Kit includes sensors, Intel® NUC Gateway, Arduino boards, base shield, and cords.

Attendees will be given an introduction to:

• Understanding the basic modern IoT architecture

• Configuring the Intel® NUC Gateway

• Managing the Intel® IoT Gateway Developer Hub

• Gathering sensor data

• Interpreting analytics on the Gateway

• Using IBM® Bluemix cloud services to perform data aggregation and business analytics
