#OktoberfestOfThings 2014

Details
Let's get together for another round of the legendary #OktoberfestOfThings (http://oktoberfestofthings.tumblr.com/), a self-organising IoT-hackday with a simple mission: ”Investigating ways to connect a beer to the Internet. Towards a field test under the hardest possible conditions.”
As this year we saw a lot of industry consortiums and closed gardens being established, we’ll try to counter this with an open, loosely coupled Web of connected beers, based on HTTP and Webhooks. If you have any other project ideas that's fine as well.
Bring your Arduino, SparkCore, Imp or any other REST based IoT device, sensors, actuators and batteries. We'll also have some stuff to play with. Not a maker yet? No worries. Everybody is welcome.
(A first testing session will take place the day after, details will emerge on the spot...)
UPDATE: The nice folks at IXDS (https://www.ixds.de/) and Hybris Labs (http://labs.hybris.com) will host a short, early morning #OktoberfestOfThings ideation workshop during their Pre-Work Talk which takes place Sept 18th, 8:30 to 10:00 at the IXDS Munich office (Gotzinger Str. 8).
